The Impact Start-up and Business Development (SBD) Bachelor’s degree at ESEA is a Level 6 qualification registered with the RNCP, designed to transform creative or analytical profiles into true business builders. The objective is not only to learn how to manage an existing company, but to know how to create value where it does not yet exist.
This programme is perfectly aligned with the needs of managers responsible for promoting entrepreneurship, who are seeking creative, passionate, curious and motivated collaborators.
The SBD Bachelor’s degree at ESEA enables students to become highly operational from their first professional experience or to pursue further studies at Bachelor’s +4/+5 level. Courses, conferences, Masterclasses and Business Games are delivered by professionals who are experts in their fields.

Further Studies
This Bachelor’s degree is professionally oriented and therefore leads directly to employment. You also have the option to enrol in the first year of a Master’s programme.
Admission Requirements
LEVEL(S) OF ADMISSION
Baccalaureate and Bac+2
Prerequisites:
The Impact Start-up and Business Development (SBD) Bachelor’s degree at ESEA is open to holders of a baccalaureate and, for entry into the third year, to holders of a BTS or any other Level 5 qualification.
Admission is based on an application review and, where applicable, an interview.
Duration :
STUDY DURATION:
- 3 years for students holding a Baccalaureate or an equivalent qualification
- Work-study programme (apprenticeship) available from the third year onwards.
PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES
The Impact Start-up and Business Development (SBD) Bachelor’s degree at ESEA is a State-recognised Level 6 qualification that aims to achieve the following objectives:
- Learn how to identify real-world problems and design innovative solutions.
- Be able to test a concept quickly with a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) in order to validate the market without significant expenditure.
- Adopt flexible working methods (Scrum, Kanban) to pivot quickly when necessary.
- Identify and approach key partners or clients.
- Master the art of B2B (Business-to-Business) sales and contract negotiation.
- Use marketing and technological techniques to achieve rapid growth at lower cost.
- Learn how to model future profitability.
- Manage cash flow and the rate at which funds are consumed.
- Prepare fundraising rounds (Seed, Series A) and convince Business Angels.
- Learn to view failure as a learning step.
- Be able to recruit and unite a team around a shared vision in an uncertain environment.
- Be capable of switching between marketing, accounting and legal tasks within a single day.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND DEADLINES
APPLICATION DEADLINES
- Enrolment for the September 2025 intake runs from 1 March to 20 September 2025.
- Enrolment for the January 2026 mid-year intake continues until 18 December.
Procedures
Access to our training programmes can be initiated:
- By the employer
- At the employee’s initiative, with the employee’s consent
- By a student or their legal guardian
- Work-study programme available from the third year onwards
After completing the application form, our school commits to responding within 72 hours.
If the programme requires prerequisites, we will offer, regardless of the funding method you are considering, a knowledge test and/or a placement interview (by phone or video conference) and/or a review of your application.

- Work-study contract: the company covers the tuition fees on behalf of the student.
